This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Medical Society of New York (MSSNY) through the joint providership of the Rochester Academy of Medicine and Rochester Regional Health. The Rochester Academy of Medicine is accredited by the Medical Society of New York (MSSNY) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Rochester Academy of Medicine designates this activity for a maximum of 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.


By the end of the course you should be able to:

  1. articulate what proportion of an individual’s mental wellbeing is determined by genetics and circumstances and what proportion is under their control.
  2. apply 10 evidence-based techniques for improving your personal mental health and wellbeing.
  3. prescribe simple, evidence-based strategies for improving the mental health and wellbeing of patients.

On Completion of the course and a course evaluation, you will receive a certificate verifying completion and the number of AMA RPA Category 1 credits (maximum 10) that you have earned.
