Let’s Lift Lake Mac starts on Sunday, September 18

Lake Macquarie City Council and The Lift Project have partnered again to support the mental health and wellbeing of individuals, families, community groups, and small businesses* in the Lake Mac LGA. It’s simple to follow and FREE for Council residents – now that’s something to be happy about!

What is The Lift Project?
The Lift Project is a wellbeing program that draws together science-based, wellbeing-enhancing strategies from Neuroscience, Lifestyle Medicine and Positive Psychology. With a focus on mental health, The Lift Project is lifting lives around the globe by equipping individuals with the skills to take charge of their own wellbeing, build resilience, and live a happier life!

The Lift Project was developed by Australian-based Dr Darren Morton (PhD, FASLM) who is an internationally recognised wellbeing expert (with special expertise in Lifestyle Medicine) and an award-winning educator and researcher.

How will it work?
The Lift Project will run for ten weeks, starting on September 18. Register below to receive emails from us each week providing access to a new lesson where you will learn a scientifically-proven way to lift your mood and your life. We will also check in with you during the week to see how you’re doing. At the end of each lesson, you will be given some simple and fun challenges to try out for yourself. To participate in The Lift Project all you need is a computer (or other device) that can access the internet.

Do it with others! If you have friends and family who are residents of Lake Mac, we encourage you to invite them to join you! Get together for 20-30 minutes each week to engage in this fun, family-friendly, wellbeing adventure.

*The Lift Project is free for individuals, families, community groups, and small businesses (10 employees or less) living in Lake Mac LGA. All other workplace enquiries, please contact us.
